More Sends

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm working as an on-call firefighter and going to class, so there hasn't been much spare time for writing, let alone blogging about writing.

I'm sending query letters out to these places:

1. Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency
2. John Hawkins & Associates
3. Merilee Heifetz @ Writer's House

These were some of the other names on the list of agents that the previous post's agent suggested I try out. I'm going to try and hit a couple other places too from the list.

In other news: the response to my 2nd book has been great! Some have gone so far to say that they like the new one better than the first. It's hard to get excited about that, though. While it makes me feel good that people are responding to the book positively, I need an agent or a publishing guru to do the same, you know?

Oh. A friend's mom who works in a high school library in Nebraska wrote me to tell me she loved the new book, too. She passed the first book on to a student, who is a senior there. The student liked the first one so much, she's doing a drawing of one of the characters and sending it to me.

On one condition: I send her my autograph.

So I did. Weird.
